Hiragana (ひらがな)

I’ve been teaching myself Japanese from various teaching websites.  I finally was able to memorize Hiragana and Katakana. All I have left really is the Kanji, and  I will probably be learning that for the rest of my life cause there are so many. I've started on grammar and learning as actual words. I can only say ねこです (it is a cat) ちるです (it is a monkey). Simple things like that and only if I know the word obviously xD.

Well I was just pretty excited and wanted to share ^-^

Sewing and other news

I was recently given a sewing machine by my Mom.  I've been trying to figure out how to use it lol. Which shows my complete lack of sewing know how.  Give me a computer and I can figure it out in 5 minutes, but a sewing machine and it takes me several days.

Any way in others news:

I had a great visit with my parents even if I did have to get 3 cavities filled (ick).  It was great to see everyone again and even some friends that were also visiting ^_^

I'm still working on my website so hopefully I can get that up relatively soon.

Title

Yes, I did mean to have the subject be "Title".  I thought for my first post I would explain the reason I chose "Once was Paradise" as my blog's name.

Its very simple really.  "Paradise" was one of the first poems I wrote.  Since then I have created 26 poems.  Some of them better than others but still written with the same amount of inspiration and passion as the rest.

I am making this blog because I feel I have lost my creativity some where along the way.  Hence the reason for "Once was".  I am hoping that writing here will help me recover that side of myself.  Hopefully helping me to become better at what I love.

I don't pretend that I know how to captivate people with amazing speech, or feel that I can move the world with just a few simple words.  What I write is from my heart.  My words an expression of my soul and desires.

In short my words are who I am and not what I pretend to be.

Thank you for reading this first entry.
